The decision in context

Strava’s centre is activity and community

Strava is strong for recording, routes, segments, clubs, challenges, a social feed and deeper paid analysis. Subscribers also receive Instant Workouts generated from recent activity across more than 40 sport types.

Strength is substantive too: the Workout Log can show exercises, sets, repetitions, weight, working time and muscle maps, using compatible partner data or details added manually. New web running plans moved to Runna from 10 July 2026, although existing plans can be completed and cycling plans remain on Strava.

BestBody’s centre is the connected plan

BestBody brings GPS-recorded activity into the same context as strength programming, UK food and macro logging, planned meals, the grocery list, hydration and wider progress.

Choose based on the missing job. Strava may be the better fit for social activity and established analysis; BestBody is relevant when activity needs to connect with food, shopping and the rest of a personal plan.
