Compare protein foods using the values on the pack
This tool does not publish a stale ranking of products. Enter the current label and shelf-price values yourself to compare total protein in the pack and the approximate cost of 25g of protein.
- Use current label and shelf-price values
- Total protein and cost per 25g
- No universal food ranking
Compare like with like using current label and price inputs
The calculation multiplies protein per 100g by pack grams, then divides pack price by the total protein to show the cost of 25g. It says nothing about overall nutrition quality, taste, portion suitability or whether that amount is personally appropriate.
Compare the current pack
Use the current pack label and price. This narrow calculation does not assess overall nutrition, allergens, portion suitability or food quality.
What to consider for free nutrition tool.
Check the basis on the label
Use protein per 100g and the pack’s net weight for a direct calculation. A per-serving value only works when the serving size and number of servings are equally clear.
- Protein per 100g
- Net pack weight
- Current price paid or displayed
Do not confuse value with food quality
Cost per unit of protein answers one narrow budgeting question. Ingredients, allergens, fibre, salt, fat, micronutrients, sustainability, preferences and the rest of the diet still matter.
- One comparison dimension
- Whole label still relevant
- Preferences and allergens
Use it inside a meal plan
A useful food must fit a meal, portion and household. BestBody connects food values to planned recipes and the grocery list so the cheapest calculation does not become a disconnected purchase.
- Recipe role
- Portion actually used
- Shopping-list context

Convert them carefully to a consistent basis or use the per-100g value where the label supplies it.
